First launch

Make AAAAT ready for what you want to do.

When you open AAAAT for the first time, it offers the tools for making PDFs and getting local AI help. Choose the capabilities you want—both can be set up together.

Make finished CVs and letters.

Choose PDF generation to produce CV and cover-letter PDFs using pdfLaTeX. AAAAT reuses a working pdflatex installation or opens the native MiKTeX, BasicTeX or TeX Live setup appropriate for your system. Using your own TeX and advanced PDF options →

Get AI help on your computer.

Choose Local AI to install the tested IBM Granite 4.1 3B Q4_K_M model and llama.cpp CPU runtime. The download is approximately 2 GB; response speed depends on your hardware. No paid AI subscription or API key is required. You can also keep your own connection for in-app help.

Already use another assistant? Connect it to AAAAT to work on selected tasks and documents. Copied requests are the fallback when it cannot connect.

Explore or begin your own work.

Choose Open demo to try AAAAT with fictional applications and CVs, or New workspace to work with your own information. You'll choose a local folder for either one.

Choose Set up for the selected options and finish any native installer prompts. In the dialog, Locations lets you choose where tools and downloads go or select an existing pdflatex executable. The supported desktop packages include AAAAT itself; the optional TeX distribution and local model are separate downloads. Read the first-use tutorial or the complete user guide.
